The Wall Street Journal published an article about the 25 documents you need to have filed in a safe place. You can read the article here. You can also read how to create an In Case of Emergency Document here.
It’s important to know where important documents are located, and identify those that you need to either update or obtain. It’s overwhelming, but it also doesn’t have to happen all at once. You can decide which areas are most important and need your immediate attention and which ones, for now, can wait.
Search the FAQ for entries containing:
- Trust documents,
- Estate Plan,
- Living Will,
- Health Care Proxy,
- Organ donor card,
- Funeral plan,
- Cemetery plot purchase.
